Transfer of Eurotours to the ÖVB AG (Österreichisches Verkehrsbüro AG) as part of an exchange of shares – DI Toth thus becomes the third shareholder of the ÖVB AG.

More praise and entry into the tour operating business

Eurotours is elected the “Leading Company” in Tyrol in the category “Big Players” in the “Austria’s Leading Companies” competition by the Wirtschaftsblatt, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KSV. In December Eurotours enters the tour operating business with the start of Hofer Reisen.

Start as a tour operator in Switzerland

with the foundation of Aldi Suisse Tours. The Vienna office moves into the current premises in Seidengasse 9

  • Eurotours Italia S.r.l., a 75.1% subsidiary, is founded
  • The new Eurotours European headquarters opens in April in Kitzbühel
  • Takeover of 80% of the RUEFA Reisen Sp z.o.o. Cracow in June, which is then renamed Eurotours Polska
  • Start of co-operation with ALDI Reisen Deutschland in July
  • Start of Hofer Potovanja (Slovenia) in October
  • The business year ends with a record result of 1.1 million passengers and a turnover of 200.9 million Euro

2010

30th anniversary and
foundation of Eurotours Potovanja d.o.o.

Almost one year after the start of its activities in direct sales in Slovenia, Eurotours has increased its commitment in its southern neighbour and has founded its own company, Eurotours Potovanja d.o.o., in Ljubljana.

2011

Further partnership

  • Extensive partnership with Tchibo-Reisen: The products which Tchibo-Reisen will feature in Austria and Switzerland will be provided exclusively by Eurotours
  • In March Eurotours and alltours Flugreisen signed an agreement for a long-term cooperation: as from summer 2012 Eurotours will develop the new business segment of self-drive holidays for alltours
  • In July 2011 DI Hans-Dieter Toth opened the new 50plus REISECenter in Austria

TRIGOS Tirol Award

In May 2012 Eurotours International received the TRIGOS Tirol, an award for Corporate Social Responsibility.
In August, Eurotours Vienna moves to the new office in Lassallestraße.

At the end of October Eurotours approaches the end-consumer in Germany for the first time with its online booking portal, www.justaway.com.

2014

China, Czech Republic, Poland and the Netherlands

  • In February the Daimler AG enters the travel business in China with Mercedes Benz Travel – Eurotours, as exclusive partner, supplies all travel products in Europe
  • In February Eurotours also creates special travel packages for Eduscho in the Czech Republic and opens an office in Prague
  • In March Eurotours also goes online with Justaway.com in the Netherlands and Poland
